My very first book (sold in 2006), this documents all of my early adventures in the kitchen: learning how to make tomato sauce, shopping at the farmer’s market, dining with Ruth Reichl to learn what you should and shouldn’t do at a restaurant (spoiler: forget the word “should.”) There’s also a solo meal at Joel Robuchon in Paris, knife shopping at Korin in TriBeCa, and my first-ever giant dinner party for all of my friends.
